A boat trip towards Phang Nga, on the Andaman Sea – Thailand

Is there anything better than a boat trip to explore the fantastic Andaman Sea on Thailand’s west coast?

Our trip starts from Koh Yao Noi with a race against the clock.. “Su Ka Piban” harbour seems impossible to find – not for local people..”yes, easy! It’s close to Amina Bungalows”…?!?!?!? – but we go fast on our scooter..

Yes, here in Thailand renting a scooter (€3,00/day) is as easy as eating pasta in Italy!!

After a while we finally reach the harbour… but it’s completely deserted! Why?! Maybe it was at 11am..or maybe 10.30am?! 11.30am???

Luckily here timetables are not as strict as Milano’s ones…

So we have time to have breakfast and have a look around, among bizarre people and nice kids who are waiting for the departure exactly like us.

After some minutes (hours?) the long-tail boat is here! Hurry up! It’s time to load the boat.. and the load today includes our scooter which will be loaded on the boat’s ROOF!

As our load is too heavy, we can’t deny.. we try to help the nice toothless man – the man who assumed the leadership of the boat.. the Captain! – and his assistant.

The scooter is ready, loaded and fastened on the roof, and in the meanwhile many people has come with their bags, suitcases, packages, parcels and.. chickens! Then, after a while, we can leave!

The trip is stunning..absolutely magnificent.

An incredible panorama of many little atolls stands in front of us till the arrival to the fantastic Phang Nga, one of the most beautiful places in the entire World – not to be missed.
